Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Patrons rave about the cafe's excellent coffee and enticing dessert selection, both prepared with great care and quality ingredients. Visitors frequently mention the warm, accommodating service, where staff go out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience. Many love the outdoor seating options, perfect for enjoying a sunny day with pets in tow. The generous portions and value for money make The Cherry Tree Cafe a popular choice for breakfast and lunch alike, with many dishes beautifully plated and packed with flavor.

Guests frequently highlight the Italian offerings, notably the ribs and seafood specials, which receive glowing reviews. The friendly atmosphere fosters a sense of community, creating an inviting space where people can sit down, relax, and connect.

Most Disliked

Even with glowing reviews, some guests mention occasional peak times leading to a crowded experience, especially on Tuesdays around 11 AM when it hits full capacity. During rush hours, the wait times for food and drinks may increase, which could detract from the experience. While many appreciate the extensive menu, a few have noted that certain items could be more innovative, with a desire for seasonal specials or limited-time offerings to mix things up.

Occasionally, patrons have expressed a wish for more options catering to specific dietary requirements or preferences beyond vegetarian and gluten-free. A handful of customers have also noted that while the cafe is generally a great spot for families, there could be improvements in the kids' menu selection to entice younger diners further.

What an excellent little restaurant this is. We were a table of 4 and had ribs, garlic bread garlic mushrooms for starters and then penne arrabiatta, penne broccoli and peppercorn chicken for mains. Very tasty, well cooked food all round at reasonable prices. We had 2 bottles of Sauvignon Blanc between us at £25 a bottle which we thought was also good value as the wine was very good. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely return.

Had a fantastic meal on Friday night at the Italian at the cherry tree cafe. Great service and very tasty food. I had the sea bass and my wife had the pasta, both were superb. Went to the bar upstairs afterwards too which was also excellent, great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We found The Cherry Tree Cafe by chance because we were looking for somewhere we could sit with the dog, and they have an outdoor seating area. It’s lucky we wanted to sit out because it was packed! We had Eggs Benedict from the regular menu and Lamb Burger with salad, dips and fries from the specials board, as well as a tea and a cappuccino. The food was better than excellent! Tasty, well prepared, generous, and the service was fast, polite and friendly. The dog was even treated to a free sausage (obviously a leftover, but so kind and thoughtful!) I can’t wait to return!

Last minute decision to try here after train issues stopped us travelling to Hebden Bridge. Had the best cheese & onion pie I’ve had for a long time. Dog friendly too and open on a Monday, which is great for me as I don’t work Mondays. Didn’t feel too cramped although lots of tables in a small area. Will definitely be back.

This was our first time visiting this cafe with our friends. The staff members were very friendly and the service was good. The food!!!!! I must say, the breakfast was very nice. You can taste the quality of the meat and the food was well prepared. The Vegetarian breakfast was amazing. My wife said the vegetarian sausages were very nice and the ingredients were fresh. The children's menu was very good and the hash browns were very tasty. Thank you for a lovely breakfast and we hope to see you all again soon. Many thanks Kish
